Scenic Designer
Professional scenic design credits are with Boston’s Theatre on Fire for Dog Act; The Misadventures of Spy Matthais; A Behanding in Spokane; Mojo; Blackadder II - LIVE!; Almost an Evening; Act a Lady; Blackadder Goes Forth and Exit, Pursued by a Bear directed by Darren Evans, and Argos Productions scenic design for The Haberdasher directed by Brett Marks. He recieved a 2014 IRNE nomination for Best Scenic Design - Small Theatre for March 2013 debut production of The Lover by Harold Pinter presented by Bridge Rep of Boston at the BCA directed by Shana Gozansky. Other Boston design credits are Gift of an Orange and The Delicate Art of Customer Service with the New Urban Theatre Laboratory at the Boston Playwright's Theatre,  all with Theatre on Fire. Luke's other professionl credits are with Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, Arcadia Repertory Theatre and the Huntington Theatre Company's Education Department. Luke has worked in various production positions from stagehand to technical director for Virginia Opera, Lake George Opera, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Spoleto Festival USA, Trinity Repertory Company, and the Paper Mill Playhouse to name.

Luke is a theatre design and technology faculty member with over 50 scenic designs at Community College of RI. He won the Motif Magazine Theatre Award  2014, 2011 and 2006 Best College/University Scenic Design for his designs of Spitfire Grill and Cephalopod at CCRI and with Blithe Spirit at University of Rhode Island respectively. As a guest artist at other educational institutions, Luke’s scenic designs include: Mrs. Warren's Profession (Salve Regina University), Fools (Salem State College), The Girls Next Door (Quinnipiac University at the Long Wharf Theatre), Medea; Dutchman and You Can’t Take It With You (Rhode Island College) a Motif Magazine 2008 nomination for Best Scenic Design. He teaches as adjunct faculty at Providence College, and taught as adjunct at Quinnipiac University, and Rhode Island College where he earned his MFA. Luke was on the Executive Board of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region 1 as Chair of Design, Technology and Management. He remains a Region 1 Production Respondent and trains design faculty as respondents each year during the KCACTF Regional Festival. He is also a KCACTF National D,T&M Respondent. Luke holds memberships in IATSE Local 52 NYC (Set Dresser), IATSE Local 481 MA (Set Dresser), USITT, and Stage Source.
